Give to the Beach School Play Structure Fund!
The Beach School playground is a natural gathering spot for Beach students and Schoolmates attendees, including a regular weekend stop for many families in the community. The existing playground structure was installed in 2002 and has outlived its useful lifespan. An improved and contemporary design that maximized the existing footprint and incorporated new safety and sensory-related play-based benefits not currently installed was approved in late 2019, funds were secured, and the work scheduled during the summer of 2020 when COVID-19 forced the district to refocus on the safety and health of the Beach student community.
The Need
Due to the importance of the Beach School playground, the initiative was revived by the Beach Parents Organization (BPO). As planning resumed, it was discovered that additional funds related to changes in the original scope, and material and labor cost escalation would need to be raised. In order to prevent future cost increases and have a fully operational playground ready for our kids by opening day of the 2023 school year, we are calling on the generosity of the community to help us raise the $80,000 needed for the project no later than December 1, 2022. These funds will be combined with other monies from the BPO.
How to Give
Donations of $1,000 or more will be recognized with a naming opportunity that will be displayed on the playground.
