Beach Revue
What is Beach Revue?
Beach Revue Mission Statement:
To build an inclusive community, encourage creativity, share our talents, promote self confidence and HAVE FUN!
Beach Revue has been a cherished tradition since 1968. Students and families have fun working together to put on this annual spring musical with singing, dancing, and skits. Every year, over 85% of students participate in this memory-making event.
Students from each class perform acts with costumes and choreography while accompanied by a community led band. The show is run solely by community volunteers that help direct, choreograph, create costumes, play in the band, work backstage, and provide support in many other ways.
It is the second largest fundraiser for the school (after ASE), so extremely important to keep the tradition and funding coming to help support our kids, teachers and staff.

2023 FAQs / Details
What is our theme for 2023?
Beach Elementary presents…Journey On!
It’s been a great adventure over the years at Beach, but the time has come for our 5th graders to Journey On! to PMS!
Everyone has made it through some amazing victories and some tough times over the past 6 years. The show will follow the 5th Graders, as they forge ahead on a journey, climbing up Oakland Avenue from Beach to PMS, reminiscing on the amazing memories at Beach, but also flashing forward to expectations of what life will be like in middle school.
Concepts that live under Journey On…
- Moving forward
- Growing up
- Travel
- Adventure
We already have some great song selections and are excited to see the kids make this theme come to life on a shiny new stage!
How can I volunteer?
- Do you love sewing? Be a costume designer for your class!
- Are you a professional whistler? We need you in the band!
- Do you own a business? Be a sponsor or donate to our raffle!
There are so many ways to get involved and every bit helps! At registration, all families will be required to sign-up for a volunteer opportunity. Opportunities during rehearsals and shows will be FCFS, so register early and choose a role that best suits your schedule and talents!
Or please reach out to the show producers if you have a specific talent or resource you’d like to offer.
What is the time commitment and when is the show?
There will be a total of 6 one-hour rehearsals starting February 4th. Your child’s class practice will be for one-hour on either Saturday or Sunday (see more info below). There will be a Tech (3/25) and Dress (3/26) rehearsal the weekend before the show. There will be three performances on 3/31, 4/1 and 4/2.
We understand that families are busy with sports and many other activities on weekends, but every year (since 1968), families have been amazing at getting their kids to rehearsals and even helping them rehearse at home. If you have specific concerns about certain dates, you can work with producers/directors to figure out a plan, as we want everyone to be a part of the show, but need your commitment to make the show a success.
