After School Programs
When the school day is over, the learning doesn’t have to end.
There are plenty of options for Beach students of all grades, from iPhone App design and knitting to homework club and tennis lessons. BPO’s After School Enrichment program offers several courses for fun and learning while also generating funds for the school. Schoolmates and Piedmont Language School are also great options.
The Recreation Department also offers classes on a seasonal basis.
After School Enrichment
For years we have offered wonderful after school classes for the kids and they have been popular for a reason! Kids can be in a rock band, learn to cook exotic Asian food, become a lego designer, explore their inner detective skills , or they can even come and get their homework done with some beloved Beach teachers.
Schoolmates
The fee-based program provides before and after school child care for elementary school aged children during the academic school year and full day care during the summer and vacation periods. Schoolmates classrooms are located at each of the three elementary schools in Piedmont: Beach, Havens and Wildwood. This program provides care for students grades K-5.
Piedmont Rec Department
The Piedmont Recreation Department offers a wide variety of before and after school activities, school vacation classes, and special services to the Piedmont community. The Recreation Department’s goal is to provide high quality programs with maximum participation and enjoyment.
Piedmont Language School
The Piedmont Language School (PLS) is a nonprofit, parent-run organization which provides K-6 language classes in addition to partnering with PUSD around world language. It is also our mission to lead the community conversation around language and cultural learning.
